WoW Burning Crusade Talent Calculator
Plan a build for The Burning Crusade: pick your class, then click talents to spend your 61 points. The calculator follows the in-game rules (5 points per tier, maxed prerequisites), shows the level the build needs and gives you a link to share it.

How to use the TBC talent calculator
- Pick your class from the row of class buttons. Each class has its own page with its full talent list.
- Click a talent to add a point. Right-click or Shift-click removes one. On a phone, tap a talent to read it and use the + and − buttons.
- Watch the summary bar: it shows your points per tree (for example 41 / 20 / 0), points left out of 61 and the level the build needs.
- Copy build link to save or share the build. Anyone who opens the link sees exactly your points. Copy as text gives a short list for forums or Discord.
Talent rules in The Burning Crusade
You get your first talent point at level 10 and one more every level, which means 61 points at level 70. Each class has three trees of 9 tiers. To open a tier you need 5 points in that tree for every tier above it: 5 points for tier 2, 10 for tier 3, and 40 for the bottom tier, which holds the tree's 41-point talent.
Some talents also need another talent maxed first; the calculator draws an arrow between them, and the arrow lights up once the requirement is met. Removing points follows the same rules as the game: you can't take a point back if a deeper talent depends on it.
The calculator holds all 9 classes, 579 talents and 1,732 talent ranks of The Burning Crusade.
What changed for talents in The Burning Crusade
The Burning Crusade raised the level cap from 60 to 70, which added 10 talent points, and every tree grew from 7 tiers to 9. The new bottom tier holds a 41-point talent such as Mutilate, Shadowstep, Summon Felguard, Earth Shield or Vampiric Touch, and many trees gained new talents in tiers 7 and 8 as well.
Because 41 + 41 is more than 61, a build can still take only one of them. The classic TBC shape is 41 or more points in the main tree and around 20 in a second tree, though plenty of strong builds stop short of the 41-point talent to pick up more from the other trees.
This calculator uses the talents from the last patch of the expansion, 2.4.3, which is also what TBC Classic used in its final phases.

Tips for planning a build
- Decide on one main tree. With 61 points you can reach only one 41-point talent, leaving 20 points for everything else.
- Look at the cheap tiers of other trees. The first two tiers often hold flat bonuses that are worth more than the last few points of a deep tree.
- Check hit and other caps. Talents that add hit chance lower the hit rating you need from gear. Our hit cap calculator takes them into account.
- Plan for levelling too. The required level shows when a build is complete. A build with 41 points in one tree is ready at level 50.
